Dear Colleagues,
Early evaluations of the Microsoft Vista environment indicated that this operating system was not ready for deployment and hence ICS elected to wait for the Windows 7 release.
Having satisfied ourselves that Windows 7 is a more stable environment ICS needs to plan for the deployment of Windows 7 and we need to assess the capability of the current Windows computers on the network.
In order for ICS to do this as quickly as possible we need to install an automated agent on each computer.
Please follow the steps below :
1. Open your Internet Explorer
2. Copy the Campus related link in the address field :
For staff on the APK and SWC campuses please use: - http://apk-sccm-cs/ccm_client
For staff on the APB campus please use: - http://apb-sccm-ss/ccm_client
For staff on the DFC campus please use: - http://dfc-sccm-ss/ccm_client
3. Press enter to go to the link.
4. Once the page has loaded, there will be a file : CCMSETUP.EXE
5. Click on the CCMSETUP.EXE file
6. You will be prompted with a window as below, please click on the “Run” button
7. You next will be prompted with a security window, please click on the “Run” button again
8. The file will be installed.
